Material loops and ice axe and rope fastenings mean equipment can be securely carried without being unnecessarily bulky. The comfortable back system optimally distributes the load across the back and makes the backpack a pleasure to carry, and the aluminum frame can even be removed for climbing. And the length of the back is designed to keep the neck free during climbing, when you have to keep looking up.
