N°7 INOX HÊTRE
Sandvik modified 12C27 stainless steel: this steel capable of undergoing the heat treatment that gives it its good hardness is called martensitic. It has a carbon content of at least 0.40%, which gives it a very satisfactory cutting edge without being susceptible to corrosion.
Traditional Yatagan blade: Its shape is inspired by a Turkish sword, with a raised tip. The blade is ground according to an exclusive bomb profile which guarantees the robustness of the blade and allows for efficient sharpening
Beech wood handle : Coming from French farms, it is hard, resistant and easy to work. The handle is varnished to be better protected against humidity and dirt.
Safety ring : Invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, the Virobloc safety ring is used on all closing knives from N06 on. Cut in stainless steel, the Virobloc is made of two parts : a fixed part and a sliding part. This process allows the blade to be locked in the open position (safe to use), as well as in the closed position (safe to carry).
