The N°08 HETRE INOX + ETUI is an Opinel set comprising an Opinel knife and a practical carrying case.Featuring an 8.5cm stainless steel blade, this offers a very good edge, easy maintenance and good durability. Its specific “Yatagan†shape guarantees great robustness and enables high-performance refitting. The safety ring locks the blade in the closed or open position for optimum safety in both positions. Last but not least, its beechwood handle is the species most commonly used to make Opinel handles. In this boxed set, the knife comes with a sheath featuring a loop and a pale leather lace.

The blade is ground to an exclusive curved profile that guarantees its robustness and enables high-performance sharpening Blade length : 8.5 cmBeech handle: the wood most commonly used to make Opinel handles. Produced on French farms, it is hard, resistant and easy to work. Homogeneous in appearance, its light colour varies from yellow to pink. The handle is varnished for better protection against moisture and dirt.Safety ring: invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all closing knives from N°06 upwards. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (for safe use), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (for safe transport).
