For those who like to pick wild fruits, the N7CHESTNUT + GARLIC AND DENOYALTY developed by Opinel is a unique pocket knife.

Making life easier for gourmets, this pocket knife allows, thanks to the particular shape of its blade, to cut and pluck chestnuts, but also to pluck garlic cloves, or to quickly remove the pits from plums, apricots, cherries. Moreover, it has a small size that allows it to be easily slipped into the pocket. Its 4 cm stainless steel bird's beak blade, pointed and short, is easier to handle than a long blade and allows a safe and quick gesture for a maximum efficiency.

Finally, this model features a high quality handle made of chestnut wood, light in color and nicely grained from French forests.

Construction :

• The blade is made of modified Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel: developed for Opinel, it is renowned for its sharpness and ease of maintenance. The stainless steel capable of undergoing the heat treatment that gives it its good hardness is called martensitic. It has a carbon content of at least 0.40% which allows for a very satisfactory edge without being susceptible to corrosion. Hardness of the blade 57-58 HRC
• Handle made of chestnut wood: one of the most beautiful types of wood. It has a light and homogeneous color, a fine and regular grain and a very strong resistance in time.
• Blade length: 4 cm
• Safety ring: invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, the Virobloc safety ring equips all closing knives from N06. Cut in stainless steel, the Virobloc is made of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safe to use), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (safe to carry).
