Lightweight and highly technical, the BLUEBIRD from Blue Ice is a versatile classic ice axe that climbers can rely on. Its design aims to strike the best possible balance between performance, durability and aesthetics.
It is made of an anodized, aircraft-grade aluminum tubewith a sandblasted bottom for better grip. In addition, a height-adjustable hand rest allowsfor effective traction.
The head and tip of the ice axe are hot forged for maximum strength and durability and have an anti-corrosion treatment. The ergonomic shape of the head makes it easy to grip, while the slightly curved shaft design optimizes anchoring performance. The curved tip is designed for better grip on very steep slopes and the tip and head of the axe have a hole for a carabiner.
