Origin of brand Vertical

Raidlight-Vertical was founded in 1999 by CEO Benoit Laval. He has brought together his expertise as a textile engineer and his passion for distance running and mountain activities to create products for fellow enthusiasts of the outdoors. He began competing at the age of 10, and his many achievements include winning the Annapurna Mandala Trail and the World Championship of the Adventure Racing World Series. In 2011 he moved the headquarters of the company to the Chartreuse mountains in order to be centrally located to the activities and the people he is servicing.

In addition to the in-house expertise base, the Chartreuse Outdoor Laboratory involves customers in the development and testing of Vertical products. Core features of Vertical products include textile innovations to reduce the weight of equipment as well as ensuring ergonomic designs to maximise comfort and performance. Customers have the opportunity to test many products for free and to offer feedback both in person and on-line.
