The Origins of the Rode Brand

Rode Ski Wax was first established in 1972, but the story begins back in 1919 when Rodeghiero Rizzieri was born to a farming family. Een from a young age, he showed a keen interest in chemistry, striving to create the perfect wax for his own skis. Following entry into many competitions, he won his first race, using his own wax in 1939. He went on to win seven Italian championships, before retiring from the professional sport to become a technician and trainer for the Italian Cross Country Ski Federation. Initially working for the women's team, Rode personally prepared all their skis, before his growing reputation led him to work with the men's team as well. Going on to found the Rode company, his high-quality products have accounted for many successes around the world.

The Strengths of the Rode Brand

Rode kick waxes give that extra competitive edge, offering unparalleled performance, developed in collaboration with top athletes. The Klister range has an easy to apply formula, that can be spread by hand or with a synthetic cork block, not requiring heat. The popular stick wax range allows for temperatures as low as minus 30, and has useful advice on the applicable temperature range, depending on whether it is middle or northern Europe snow. Known as a heritage wax brand, it remains a family business, well-loved by the world-wide skiing community.

The Best Sellers from the Rode Collection

The best sellers are, of course, from the Klister range, including Silver 18, Bleu 18 and Nera 18, all renowned for their uses in variable snow conditions. The ever-popular stick collection includes a black base formula designed to be used with an iron, the Vert 18 and the Bleu Multigrade 18, providing great kick in cold conditions. The selection of Top Line kick wax is a new series of modern fluorinated kick waxes, targeting a narrow range of conditions near freezing, always giving consistent results.
