Founded in 2011, PolarPro was a response to the poor quality of GoPro ski footage. Founder Jeff Overall purchased a polarized DSLR lens, duct-taped it to his GoPro, and the idea for PolarPro was born. Notable in the company's trajectory was its $1million deal with investors as a result of a pitch on ABC's “Shark Tank. With this, PolarPro entered the drone filter market, which it has since dominated.
Using the vision “capture perfection, PolarPro offers a range of filters tailored to different drones, cameras, and GoPros including the Phantom drone and Hero GoPro. Typical filters include ‘cinema', ‘artisan', and ‘vivid', with each capturing a different type of visual enhancement. This means that amateurs and professionals alike can adapt their visuals to reflect the energy and environment of their experience, whether that be a calm outdoors hike or a high-adrenaline trick run through the powder.
PolarPro stands out from the crowd due to its dedication to research. The team travels the world hunting out different environments and developing products to meet those unique demands. As well as keeping PolarPro firmly positioned as market leader, this also means that the products have a high level of reliability.
