The Origins of the Picture Brand

Picture was born in 2008 when Julien, Jeremy and Vincent, who had grown up together in the mountain city of Clermont-Ferrand, decided to join forces to create a brand that reflected their passion for skateboarding and snowboarding culture and their commitment to safeguarding the environment. Picture has risen quickly to worldwide prominence, winning an ISPO Gold Award in 2013 as well as an award for Environmental Excellence. Ten years on, the team have expanded into 30 countries and continue to explore the world of outdoor sports clothing from their unique perspective.

Picture have a zeal for the new that pushes them to make revolutionary advances in technology. In 2017 they debuted NaturalPrene, an eco-friendly alternative to neoprene made of 85% plant-derived rubber. They have pioneered products like the Rethink Bag, designed to transform into other useful items once it's no longer needed, and their Recovery Fabrics procedure uses waste fabric from other parts of the manufacturing process to create unusual but highly effective and attractive jacket linings.
