Origin of the Movement brand

Although first created in 1999, it took another three years until Movement branded products came on the market. From the company base in the Swiss Alps, Movement first produced snowboards but moved quickly into producing skis using the same guiding principles that made the snowboards so successful. Using state of the art technology, Movement designers and technicians developed skis that were superior to those currently available and became an instant hit with skiing fans throughout the world.

Movement continually research and develop their skis to keep pace with changing demand. All skis use a wooden core that are certified to the highest standards and each core is selected according to the intended type of skiing be it Freeride, Freetouring, Racing or Universal. Movement skis and ski boots are manufactured in the company's own factory by a team of professional craftsmen using the latest high-tech machinery and computer technology. The company's touring skis feature new carbon filament technology around the wooden core which optimises the skis' performance and adds extra strength and flexibility.

Skis

Fibreglass plates strengthen the grip on ski bindings and the classic Movement camber delivers an outstanding performance on hard or frozen snow. Movement skis also feature an ABS shock absorber system to combat vibration and improve control over the ski torsion.

The boot's shell is constructed in four sections to allow flexibility of movement and combine versatility with comfort. Movement ski boots are tough but surprisingly light and feature an Ultralon thermo liner which provides comfort and retains heat.
