How Julbo started

Julbo was formed in the year of 1888 by its founder, Jules Baud, who would give it its name, more or less. He began with innovation, providing some of the only solid sun protection available from eyeglasses of the time, and then his brand continued with innovation and style throughout the following century.

What makes Julbo unique

Beautiful French manufacture

Julbo began with one man hand-crafting sunglasses with French sensibility, and even as it's expanded to other markets, even overseas, it hasn't lost all of that. Though durability is a prime consideration, and Julbo uses materials to match, choosy wearers will be able to pick something that's recognizably from a storied brand like Julbo if they want to. A pair of sunglasses doesn't need to be fragile or weak to be chic, and Julbo's product lines prove that with aplomb.

Endless options

Well, maybe not quite endless, but close enough. Whether you're looking for a specific style, a specific size, or a specific type of protection, there's a good chance Julbo can offer it to you. If you want straight, thick arms to work with your other headgear, Julbo sells sunglasses like that. In fact, Julbo doesn't exclusively make sunglasses, either: some of those sunglasses are tailor-made to go with Julbo's other pieces of headgear.

Julbo's best sellers

Glasses from strong Categories

Julbo's sunglasses run the gamut in terms of sunglasses categories, which indicate just how strong a pair's protection is. But Julbo offers sunglasses from Categories 3 and 4, the former of which is effective but balanced, and the latter of which provides as much protection as possible. Category 4 sunglasses are so strong you can't wear them while driving, but they are safe for foot travel and some sports.

Colourful protection

Julbo's sunglasses also run the gamut in terms of look. Whether you want pink or black, dyed with a pattern or something simple, there's colour options aplenty from Julbo. The options don't stop at colour, either: whether you need a thin or thick frame, or a specific material, Julbo might just have the look you need, ready to wear. This even applies for the company's strongest Category 4 sunglasses: you can get professional-grade power without a boring look.
