Ferrino's history dates back to 1870, when Cesare Ferrino, a paint shop owner in Turin, began to make waterproof fabrics. In 1910, the company launched its first mass-produced product, the Cervino tent. The company focused on the development and use of new technologies, and its innovative items became popular with famous names in exploration, such as Alberto Maria De Agostini and Reinhold Messner. In 1994, the company set up a permanent laboratory, High Lab, on Italy's Monte Rose, enabling it to test potential new products at altitude. In 2016, it established a second testing facility on Mont Blanc. Today, Ferrino manufactures an extensive range of high-tech outdoor equipment and apparel including, of course, state-of-the-art tents.
