Dalbello: a brief biography

As acclaimed ski-boot artisans, Alessandro and Giovanna dal Bello launched a new brand in 1974. Their goal was simple: to take their superior craftsmanship and combine it with the latest technical developments. Launched the magnificent and perilous playground of the Austrian Alps, Dalbello quickly proved itself to be a strong player in one of the most competitive sporting markets. It has since built a solid reputation based upon dedication to technological investment and customer satisfaction.

The Boots

If there is one chagrin that every skier has to tackle, it is the problem of ill-fitting boots. This endless and enduring problem was long understood to be an unavoidable woe: athletes have different size and shaped feet, different foot volumes, different calf shapes, and different skiing styles. For boot-makers, the problem is tricky. The solid shell is both uncompromising and unforgiving in terms of design possibility. Dalbello has been determined to change this, and have unleashed a host of technological innovations designed to cater for every potential shape combination. They are particularly strong at catering for wider feet and larger calf muscles, and many models have multiple options for adjustments. Dalbello offers various comfort and support features. These include durable cuffs, tapered fitting, low-profile female designs, geometric cuffs with volume expansion, and flex control.

Tough and firm

Dalbello is focused upon performance. This is particularly realized in the attention to lateral toughness, enabling full agility in the turn. Offering a smooth experience whether smashing through the powder or shooting down the groom, Dalbello promises reliability and durability. Heat lined, aluminum buckled, pre-stretched for a critical fit, and formed of a three-piece shell, the boots are built to tackle long, tough days on the roughest mountains.

Freestyle

In recent years Dalbello has turned its attention to freestyle with its il Moro range. Meaning 'the dark one', il Moro is a formidable player in the white. A patented Intuition liner promises to absorb impact, whilst the Dynalink Rearfoot Retention takes on the task of balance. Taking stiffness to a new level, the il Moro minimizes bone-jarring landings and features an ultra-strong three-piece shell. For greater control, the boots are center balanced, enabling tighter moves and enhanced freedom.
