Origin of Aigle

Aigle was founded by Hiram Hutchinson, an American residing in France, in 1853. Hutchinson soon met Charles Goodyear, inventor of a vulcanization process that created flexible and waterproof latex rubber. Hutchinson purchased Goodyear's patent and began producing shoes and clothing for outdoor use. The brand had grown into an international success with stores across the globe.
